Best Practices for Virtual Meetings - Using Zoom

    Keynote Speaker

    Marshall Stewart, EdD
Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement, University of Missouri
    Chief Engagement Officer, UM System

Marshall Stewart is vice chancellor for extension and engagement at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Stewart is committed to All Things Missouri — helping the University of Missouri build a vibrant 21st century model for extension and engagement, expand its impact and strengthen its land-grant roots as the university for Missouri.

At Mizzou, Dr. Stewart leads university-wide extension, continuing education and engagement and outreach efforts aimed at addressing Missouri’s grand challenges around the economy, education and health. Through a statewide network of campus faculty and specialists, MU Extension’s field programs alone deliver almost $1 billion in economic impact to Missouri and serve the diverse needs of people and communities in every county and urban center.

Dr. Stewart also serves as chief engagement officer for the University of Missouri System, where he leads statewide outreach efforts.

His dual roles involve partnership development and stakeholder relations with local, state and federal policy-makers; MU Extension county, regional and state advisory groups; and partners and collaborators in the community, corporate, government and non-profit sectors. He partners closely with the deans of MU’s 13 colleges and schools, the executive leaders of the UM System and all four campuses, and key constituent groups such as the Missouri 100 and Intercampus Alumni Council. He also serves on national boards, committees and initiatives to grow engagement in higher education.

Dr. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education, a Master of Science degree in agricultural education and a Doctor of Education degree in agricultural and extension education from North Carolina State University. Throughout his 30-year career, Dr. Stewart has been recognized for his expertise in leadership development, strategic planning, legislative affairs, youth and agricultural education and advocacy, and engagement in higher education. He is an accomplished author, workshop presenter and speaker.
