Nelson Daniels discussed the program and registration for the upcoming conference, April 26-28, in Washington, D.C. The registration fee is $125.00, hotel accommodations: Courtyard Marriott at Crystal City @ $128.00/night, reservations need to be made by April 1. The on-line input system was discussed briefly. The conference coordinator should have the information and final agenda out by March 12. The brief outline:
April 26 - 8:30 a.m. - April 27 - 5:00 p.m. Joint Session at the NASULGC Office
April 28 - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Southern Region Session at the CourtyardBill Hubbard discussed the upcoming June Agri-forestry Working Group Meeting which will be a pre-conference meeting prior to the World Agri-forestry Conference. Invitation notices were sent to 1890 and 1862 Extension, USDA-NRCS, USDA-FS, state forestry agencies throughout the region. The pre-conference will identify the who, what and when of the region - a formal working group will be formed during the session. There are some funds available to support travel expenses.Jimmy Henning asked for an update on CECP.Nelson Daniels and Bill Hubbard reported that the CECP project's agri-foristry taxonomy should be to Tim Cross soon. Roger Crickenberger reported that he and Tim Cross were moving ahead on the National Program Leader white paper. It should be completed by the Washington, D.C. meeting.
Roger Crickenberger reported that the SARE-PDP funded ($241,000) CECP project under the direction of Geoff Vendor was moving forward.
