SOUTHERN REGION EXTENSION HORSE SHOW Primary Purpose of Group: To provide Regional Contest and Competition for 4-H Horse Contestants.Summary of Accomplishments: Approximately 400-500 youth per year have participated in this educational activity for the last 23 years. Current/Recent Major Projects: Revision of policies and procedures governing the show. Primary Disciplines Which Participate: Extension Animal Science Specialist and the youth and families they serve. Other Disciplines Which Participate: 4-H Specialist States Represented at Meetings (Last 2 Years): 13 South East Region States Industry Representatives: N/A Leadership: A chairman and chair elect are elected from within the group for a 2 year period. Note Regarding Advisor: Clint Depew, ANR leader from LSU Ag Center is the advisor. Dr. Susan Holder represents the 4-H leaders.
