Item 1 - Discussion about Southern Region Leader Forum for 2005

Since South Carolina was the host state, Keith Diem, requested a financial report for SRVL Forum for 2005. He is concerned that their may be outstanding bills.

The new Extension Specialist for 4-H Youth Development in Tennessee, Carmen Burgos, will give leadership to the 2006 Southern Region Volunteer Leader Forum.

Item 2 - Biennial Conference - April 10, in Tulsa, OK

Thanks to Oklahoma for hosting the conference and to Mississippi for coordinating the program.

Quality workshops. Focus on professional development. Focus on CECP - action mobbing on domain teams.

Item 3 - Question - Lamar Nichols - Age appropriate issues particularly livestock shows

He surveyed the states present. He cited research regarding competition and the age that it is appropriate. Research shows that children under the age of 9 should not be in competition.
